Best known locally as the TV repairman at Wayland Vereen's in Southport during the mid-late 1970's. He was the youngest child of James W. and Edith Louise Mantell McMillion. He worked as a television repairman in New Castle, Delaware before moving with his family to southeastern North Carolina sometime between 1972-73. He volunteered his time and talents with the restoration of the Frying Pan Lightship #115 in Southport,
along with his wife, son and sister-in-law Irene; as well as pursuing boating and scuba
diving in his spare time. He also loved cats, German Shepherd and border collie
dogs, and playing the Hawaiian guitar.
